My little corner of the world.
My goal was to start blogging before the end of August, a deadline that I beat rather handily if I do say so. Blogging is a bit of a mystery to me, so consider this a test drive, a guinea pig, a dry run — you get the idea. I’m over fifty, but you’re never too old to learn. Baby steps, baby steps…
The plan is to share some of my writing, and thus my heart, and to make new friends. You can also meet some of my friends, and eavesdrop as I puzzle over things that … well … puzzle me.

Jan, I really enjoyed reading your blog today. Very impressive! I’ll be following it. So sorry about your dad’s condition. I know that must be very frustrating when you can’t “fix” what you wish you could fix. My dad took a bad fall in November at the age of 77 and broke his neck and had a bleeder on the brain. He is a very active man for his age and never seemed old to me. He still runs his own printing business, runs a ranch in Teague and drives back and forth several times a week, and takes annual hunting trips with friends. When the accident happened it made me realize just how fragile our parents can be and as we get older…..so do they! It was a very scary time for all of us, but praise God he healed quickly and was released from the doctors care after only 4 months. Anyway, I’ll keep your mom and dad in my prayers as well as you and your brother and sister. I’m glad you’re getting some good time with him while he goes thru this difficult battle.
