Looking Back: My Top Five of 2012

Last week WordPress emailed me a summary of my blog’s statistics for 2012. I thought you might enjoy a quick stroll down memory lane, so here is a list of my top five most-viewed posts, with links to each in case you’d like to revisit any of them.

5. Advice To 20-Somethings: A Guest Post, February 2012
4. “Cracked Nuts & Sentimental Journeys:” A Book Review, August 2012
3. Mrs. Tweedy and her Majestic Dubble-Bubble Hairdo, May 2012
2. Not Your Ordinary Bike Ride, November 2012

And the most-viewed post all year…

1. Forgotten Soldiers? (Not if I can help it), February 2012

While I’m on the subject, I would like to thank each one of you who read my blog. Some of you have laughed or sighed or cried with me, and I appreciate it. I hope to post more regularly in 2013 than I have in the past couple of months, although it’s time for the blog to take a back seat to the novel I am working on. (Secret: Writing a novel is a little bit harder than it might look.)

I guess I’ll have to get organized.

Thanks for reading! Really!
Jan

About Jan C. Johnson

Welcome! If you like food, reading, laughing over life's little disasters, and maybe thinking about the bigger things of life, you have come to the right place. Besides blogging, I write humorous fiction, though real life tends to leave fictional humor in the shade. But I'm not a total goofball. No, really. I'm also working on a biography project. I live in North Texas with my husband, Brent. We enjoy bicycling, Mexican food, and traveling to visit our kids and grandkids.

Jan–the stats are revealing–you are a good writer! and no, I NEVER thought writing a novel was easy. Just bite it off one piece at a time and let God work through you. I look forward to hearing more!

Jan, I have read everyone and so many times you have put me in stitches from laughing so hard. I get you, you know I do, and I give you permission to take a break (cuz I know you need it) but, you will be soooooo missed. Thinking of you, and we still have a face to face date yes?

Marlece, you’re so sweet! I don’t plan to give up blogging, though… actually I want to publish more posts, maybe 3 a month instead of, um, hardly ever. Now that the Christmas hubbub is over (next post, probably) I hope to set more of a schedule so I can do both. Love ya!
