Lately, I find myself snapping endless pictures of our wide-open Texas sky.
Here’s a recent one that I took very early one morning. . .
Catching the sky before sunrise is getting easier as autumn goes on!
But I digress.
See the morning star, that bright dot in the dark-ish area between the large cloud bar and the skinny little one below it?
That “star” is actually one of our co-planets, Venus. It got the nickname “morning star” since it’s usually visible just before dawn.
Interestingly, Venus isn’t the only “morning star.” Jesus also claimed the nickname. You can find it here, in Revelation 22:16.
In 2 Peter 1:16-18, Peter writes about having been an eyewitness to Jesus’ glory (Click here to see what he says).
Then, in verses 19-21, he goes on…
We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
I love how everything in nature speaks of God’s glory and care for us.
Thanks for reading,
Jan
Excellent. I also love how nature shows God’s power and glory.

That’s lovely. I was taken with your title because Walter’s breeders are very religious and their business is called Morningstar Stables (they breed horses, too) It’s cool to learn about the connection.
