Allow me to introduce myself!

Howdy! I’m Janice, but everyone calls me Jan. Like you, I am many things. My “things” include wife, mom, empty-nester, writer, chef, bicyclist, gardener, avid reader and lifelong student (read: perennially curious). Most importantly, I have been following Jesus since my teens, though I often lag woefully behind. Or run ahead. Or just careen headlong off the trail altogether. It’s just a good thing Christians don’t have to be perfect!

I love many things, too: flowers, animals, chocolate, fiction, my wonderful husband Brent. I love to laugh and to brighten people’s day. I love people’s stories, too: listening to them, and writing about them. As I write up someone’s story, polishing it up and turning it so all the best facets sparkle in the light, I get to know that person better. And my life becomes richer for it.

Everybody has a story. Many are more interesting than mine, but everybody has a story.

What’s your story?

I’m glad you are coming along for the ride.
Thanks for reading!

Thanks so much for stopping by my place today. I, too, love listening to peoples’ stories–all part of the one big, really great story. I’ll have to spend some more time digging around here. Is this something you do professionally?

  2. Jan that was a lovely intro. Simple and sweet. 🙂 I feel pretty much the same.

I’d say ditto to most words to describe you except I’m not an avid biker thanks to getting tossed off a horse a few years ago. My knees prefer a stationary bike these days. I’m always delighted to meet people who help preserve other people’s stories, especially those who don’t feel they can do it themselves. There are some fabulous tales out there. Lisakunk
